A Little Background
Risen Esports is an amateur e-sports organization that brings competitive League of Legends to all skill levels. Founded in 2017 by Travis Guyer, Risen quickly grew from 10 amateur teams and 50 players to 72 teams and over 400 players. Currently, there are four leagues players can participate in:
- Rampage: Bronze/Silver players
- Dominate: Gold/Platinum players
- Champions: No rank restrictions. Pre-mades of 5-8 people.
- Alumnus: Mostly former or current players in the League. No rank restrictions. Pre-mades of 5-8 people.
Seasons take place in the spring/summer and fall/winter. In Rampage and Dominate, you can sign up with up to two other people or go solo. Either way, you’ll be playing with people you’ve never met before! That’s what sets Risen apart from other amateur e-sports organizations in LoL. It’s exciting, a little scary, and a lot of fun coming together with new teammates and putting your skills to the test against other teams.
